What are the characteristics of 1064nm wavelength lasers?
- Introduction to 1064nm Lasers
1064nm wavelength light belongs to the infrared spectrum and is a special wavelength that can be simultaneously absorbed by water, hemoglobin, melanin, and collagen fibers in the dermis. However, the absorption of 1064nm by these three chromophores is relatively weak, therefore, 1064nm lasers have deep penetration and can treat vascular, pigmented, and collagen diseases in the dermis.
2.1064nm can be divided into:
Picosecond lasers: Picosecond pulse width. They act efficiently on pigment particles through photothermal and photomechanical effects. Picosecond lasers have shown efficacy in treating tattoos, pigmented diseases, and facial rejuvenation.
